"Too bad that there is no afternoon program planned for the 22nd, the Sabbath before Christmas." Praise the Lord that the thought did not stop there. Rallied by this idea, Shekinah joined forces with the Adventist Youth to make nothing into something. And thus born the idea for the "Singspiration: Christmas Concert 2007". Various members and groups are asked to participate in what is meant to be an afternoon full of praises in the theme of the Birth of our Savior. And before long, commitments to participate in songs, poems, mimes, or thoughts, began to trickle in. But not long before the due date, the enthusiasm caught, and more and more are pouring in. Such that Br. Roseval, our Personal Ministries leader, shared out the invitations to visitors around the church as well.
The afternoon itself was nothing less than blessed. Beautiful songs, poem, mimes, and thought colored the event, all done by members of the church. But most of all, we believe the angels were there as well, singing their hearts out just like that night above the hills of Bethlehem, blessing our ears, and especially our hearts. In it we have a glimpse of how our evangelism may become if we all decide to dedicate our talents to His service.
During the pause, we also had the opportunity to express our gratitude to the caretaker of the church, who has been so helpful to us during all the years we have been having our service in this church building.
Hopefully the messages will stay much longer than the Christmas and New Year celebrations. And hopefully more of these will come in the near future, up to the time Jesus comes in the clouds!
